Buyer Beware
And now for the BIG story about
double glazing in my 'buyer beware' set of
pages: Of course I cannot name names, but one minute they are 'So-and-so Windows', a couple of years later they are 'So-and-so Home Improvements' and a couple of years later they are 'So-and-so plc', all with the SAME VANS, NAME LOGOS and SAME RADIO JINGLE, and for all intents and purposes to Joe Public, a well-known name who SEEM to be above board. So, look into the ‘well-respected’ name you have heard of and think you 'know', and you may be very surprised at just who have reinvented themselves (often leaving customers and suppliers high and dry), not once but several times in some cases. Double-glazing
firms - gone bust before? My scam-exam test tells you far more about any individual estimate than my ‘buyerbeware’ pages ever can because I have had to generalise very much on my website. Once you have put your estimate through the free test and had your results, you can then get an individual full five-page written report for a modest cost, and this should complete ALL the information you will need to be really clued in before you make any important decisions. Be a mug if you like, and if you are the type of person who can easily be taken for a ride then ignore my pages. Or do it my way with an education on the subject and get clued up so you can get a result that is much better than you ever imagined. If you have a problem with a
company that is a member of the GGF club (Glass & Glazing
Federation) you can complain about them here:
