Madness:
The Lord's Prayer contains 56 words, the Ten Commandments 297, the
American Declaration of Independence 1,300 - but the EU directive on duck

Cladding:
The TechnicalitiesDouble glazing and cladding are almost the same industry
|
In PVC-UE in fascias, soffits, bargeboards, shiplap cladding, architraves and trims around windows and doors, etc., the 'E' stands for
expanded. |
|
Expanded un-plasticised Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC-UE) is PVC-U that has been given a foamed cellular structure by the inclusion of an expansion agent during the manufacturing process. This cellular structure reduces product weight and increases thermal performance. Environmentally friendly manufacturers use only sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) as an expansion agent as it generates no harmful by-products and no CFCs are used in the production process. For fascias, soffits, bargeboards, shiplap cladding, etc., PVC-UE is an ideal material for non-structural components as its properties include: |
| • |
Weather resistant, impermeable and non-absorbent, ideal for low
maintenance |
| • |
Does not rot, warp, shrink or biologically
decompose |
| • |
Resistant to acids, alkalis, atmospheric gases, dust and
dirt |
| • |
Resistant to vermin and insect attack.
Impact resistant |
| • |
Dimensionally stable within normal UK climatic
conditions |
| Typically
PVC-UE products are used in our industry for: |
| • |
Trims around windows and doors, both indoors and outdoors. Profiles in common use include architrave, quadrants, 'D' section, interior window boards and reveal liners,
etc |
| • |
Roofline board replacements of fascias, soffits, bargeboards and cladding, such as shiplap and T-G-V (tongued, grooved and ‘V’). |
